What is crisis response curriculum?
Crisis response curriculum is specifically designed to give students basic knowledge, coping skills, and encouragement to reach out for support during a challenging time. It is intended to be used as a tier I intervention in response to a specific event. It is not intended to take the place of your school's current SEL curriculum, small group intervention, or individual counseling.
What age group?
Our curriculum utilizes open-ended questions that can be adapted to a wide range of ages. We recommend using it with middle and high school students, although some 5th graders are also able to use it with success.
Who can teach
Our curriculum is designed by mental health providers, yet it is intended to be used in the classroom by teachers. It can also be used by crisis response teams. The online teacher's guide provides lessons and screening guides so that teachers can quickly identify and refer a student to a counselor if they indicate a need for additional support.
May I see a guided journal?
We are more than happy to provide you with example pages or some of the open-ended questions to help you determine if our curriculum is the right fit for your school. Please contact us with any questions that you may have.
